Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of litigation, including case pleadings, discovery, motions, and appearances at hearings, mediations, conferences, depositions, and non-jury trials. The Litigation Attorney will collaborate with the paralegal, providing clients with updates and managing a diverse caseload. Job Duties:

• Prepare, review, and approve all case pleadings.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including filing pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Attend motion calendar hearings, mediations, conciliation conferences, depositions, and non-jury trials.
• Work with the paralegal to provide clients with regular updates.
• Undertake other duties and special litigation projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate degree.
• Member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
• Demonstrated a sense of urgency and diligence in work completion, deadlines, time management, and attendance.
• Critical "out of the box" thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Management and prioritization skills for handling a large caseload.
