Job Overview: A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Criminal Defense Attorney with extensive trial experience to handle a diverse caseload of criminal matters. The successful candidate will provide expert legal representation to clients, manage all aspects of case preparation, and advocate in court proceedings.

Duties:

• Analyze cases and develop strategic legal approaches.
• Provide comprehensive legal advice and representation to clients in criminal defense matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and negotiations.
• Manage client communication and maintain strong client relationships.
• Work collaboratively with legal staff and support teams to ensure effective case management.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a practicing District Attorney (DA) or criminal defense attorney.
• Currently licensed to practice law in Colorado.
• Extensive first-chair trial experience in criminal defense.
• In-depth knowledge of trial and hearing procedures, including the Colorado and Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure.
• Comfortable and confident in the courtroom environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong writing skills.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
• Demonstrated initiative and sound judgment in decision-making.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
