Job Overview:

The Criminal Defense Attorney will represent clients in criminal cases, provide legal counsel, and advocate for clients' rights throughout legal proceedings.

Duties:

• Represent clients in criminal defense matters, including but not limited to arraignments, hearings, trials, and appeals
• Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and arguments
• Prepare and file legal documents, motions, briefs, and other court submissions
• Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, prosecutors, judges, and other parties involved in the legal process
• Negotiate plea agreements and settlements on behalf of clients when appropriate
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards by professional codes of conduct
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents about criminal defense

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience practicing criminal defense law
• Active admission to the Colorado Bar
• Exceptional writing skills demonstrated through writing samples
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities
• Customer service mindset with a focus on providing exceptional client experiences
• Strong references attesting to expertise and professionalism in criminal defense

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
