A law firm is seeking an eDiscovery Attorney to join their team in Melville, NY. The role involves managing eDiscovery in a portfolio of complex and global litigations and investigations. Below are the job details:

Job Overview:

The eDiscovery Attorney will be responsible for managing eDiscovery processes in complex litigations and investigations, utilizing various eDiscovery platforms and tools. They will advise stakeholders on eDiscovery strategies, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and contribute to the development and refinement of eDiscovery policies and procedures.

Duties:

  • Utilize eDiscovery review platforms such as Relativity, Recommind, and other analytics tools for TAR, predictive coding, and Early Case Assessment.
  • Handle data processing and document processing effectively.
  • Advise legal, compliance, and group investigation stakeholders on eDiscovery issues and strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with other disciplines, including Information Governance, Data Protection, Data Security, IT, and Compliance.
  • Identify and escalate improvements to eDiscovery policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on eDiscovery topics, assisting with onboarding and training of new and existing customers.
  • Implement custom workflows to reduce client costs and enhance speed-to-evidence.
  • Create and refine standard documentation, including ESI protocols, Protective Orders, review protocols, training guides, and review workflows.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Ideally, 5 years of experience managing eDiscovery in complex litigations and investigations.
  • Admission to the Bar (any state).
  • Strong understanding of current eDiscovery law, jurisprudence, processes, and technologies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of eDiscovery practices and their relationship with related disciplines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from inception to completion.
  • Proven ability to identify continuous improvements in policies and processes and execute those improvements.

Education and Certifications:

  • JD degree.
  • Admission to the Bar (any state).
