Bankruptcy Associate Attorney

A law firm situated in Los Angeles is in search of a Bankruptcy Associate Attorney to handle a range of bankruptcy-related matters. The candidate must be admitted to practice in California and have relevant experience in bankruptcy law. The Bankruptcy Associate Attorney will primarily focus on handling bankruptcy cases and related proceedings, requiring appearances in court at the state level. They will utilize their legal expertise to assist clients in navigating bankruptcy processes and achieving favorable outcomes.

Duties:

• Represent clients in bankruptcy proceedings, including Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies.
• Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and other required documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on bankruptcy laws and regulations.
• Attend court hearings and proceedings, advocating on behalf of clients.
• Communicate with clients, creditors, and other parties involved in bankruptcy cases.
• Assist in negotiating settlements and resolving disputes related to bankruptcy matters.

Requirements:

• Admission to practice law in the State of California.
• 2+ years of experience practicing bankruptcy law.
• Knowledge of bankruptcy laws and procedures, including Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies.
• Strong communication and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage caseload effectively.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in the State of California.
