Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an Of Counsel with significant experience in representing and advising companies facing financial challenges. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background from a nationally recognized law school, have a JD, and be licensed to practice law in CA.

Duties:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
• Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
• Successfully meet deadlines, and expectations, and perform work duties as required.
• Foster positive work relationships.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, such as working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings.
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• 9 years of experience representing and advising companies in complex business reorganizations, debt restructurings, and financing matters (ideally debtor-side experience).
• Court experience is required.
• Immediate transferable skills and strong academic background from a nationally recognized law school.
• Must be licensed to practice law in CA.
• J.D.
• 9 years of restructuring experience.

Education:

• J.D. from a nationally recognized law school.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in CA.
