Duties:

• Represent clients in a range of civil litigation matters, including general liability, premises liability, complex commercial disputes, and construction-related claims

• Manage all phases of discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery and conducting depositions of parties and expert witnesses

• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements

• Analyze case law, statutes, and legal precedents to provide strategic legal advice

• Engage in trial preparation and courtroom appearances as required

• Maintain communication with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams

• Balance and prioritize multiple active caseloads under strict deadlines

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support firm objectives and client goals

Requirements:

• Minimum 5-7 years of substantive litigation experience

• Demonstrated experience in handling complex litigation files from inception to resolution

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a legal team

• Strong time management and task prioritization abilities

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues in a hybrid work environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the State of New York (required)

• Admission to practice in New Jersey (preferred)

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research tools and litigation management software

• Detail-oriented with a structured and disciplined approach to case handling

• Excellent analytical, investigative, and drafting capabilities

• Strong interpersonal skills and client service orientation
