Duties:

  • Assisting with all aspects of litigation, including developing case strategies, participating in hearings, and handling arbitration proceedings
  • Managing cases and projects with minimal oversight
  • Working collaboratively and independently to meet client demands
  • Handling numerous matters simultaneously
  • Conducting legal research and writing briefs, motions, and other legal documents
  • Participating in client meetings and negotiations
  • Representing clients in court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution forums
  • Providing legal advice and counsel to clients on commercial litigation matters

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice in Alaska or a state that grants reciprocity with Alaska or willing and eligible to sit for the Alaska Bar
  • Experience managing cases and projects with minimal oversight
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Ability to handle numerous matters simultaneously
  • Excellent research, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, including public speaking
  • Judicial clerkship experience is a plus

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Alaska Bar or eligibility to sit for the Alaska Bar
