A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking a highly experienced Trusts and Estates Attorney with a strong academic record, excellent written and oral communication skills, and 7-10 years of expertise in estate planning, tax planning, and trust and estate administration. The ideal candidate will also have experience in asset protection planning and charitable giving. It is preferred that the candidate has prior experience working directly with high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as their advisors, on tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies, including the transfer of closely-held business interests.

Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice and counsel to clients on estate planning, tax planning, and trust and estate administration matters.
  • Develop and implement effective wealth transfer strategies, considering the specific needs and goals of high-net-worth clients.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and other estate planning tools.
  • Advise clients on asset protection planning and charitable giving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with clients and their advisors to optimize tax-efficient wealth transfer solutions.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact clients' financial planning.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar.
  • 7-10 years of experience in estate planning, tax planning, and trust and estate administration.
  • Proficiency in asset protection planning and charitable giving strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with high-net-worth clients.
