A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Labor and Employment Associate Attorney to join their team. The attorney will be responsible for conducting research, writing and arguing motions, conducting complex fact investigations and analysis, taking and defending depositions, and handling various aspects of employment litigation. The role provides opportunities to write appellate briefs, support M&A transactions, and litigate trade secrets and non-compete cases. To qualify, candidates must have high academic achievement and be admitted to and a member in good standing of the California Bar. The firm is seeking candidates with 3-6 years of employment litigation experience, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour class, and PAGA actions, along with strong litigation skills.

Duties:

  • Research, write, and argue motions in labor and employment cases.
  • Conduct complex fact investigations and analysis to support legal strategies.
  • Take and defend depositions to gather and present evidence.
  • Write appellate briefs, provide support in M&A transactions, and litigate trade secrets and non-compete cases.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to advance cases effectively.

Requirements:

  • Admission to and a member in good standing of the California Bar.
  • 3-6 years of employment litigation experience, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour class, and PAGA actions.
  • Strong litigation skills with a proven track record.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the California Bar.

  • Exceptional writing and oral advocacy skills.
  • Strong fact-finding and investigative abilities.
