General Liability Associate Attorney

A law firm in White Plains is actively seeking a seasoned and dedicated General Liability Associate Attorney. The successful candidate will play a key role in file reviews, legal analyses, extensive research, and client representation in various legal proceedings. The position requires an individual with a strong work ethic, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Job Details:

• Conduct file reviews and perform legal analyses of claims and causes of action.
• Engage in extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Regularly represent clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests to support legal proceedings.
• Collaborate on expert witness retention and coordination efforts.
• Prepare thoroughly for trials and attend as required.
• Some travel may be necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of experience in General Liability; Insurance Coverage experience is a plus.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid research abilities and excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to self-manage and work effectively in a team environment.
• Prompt responsiveness to email and phone inquiries.
• Excellent client skills and a professional telephone manner.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Admission to practice law in the states of NY and CT.
