A law firm in Boise, ID, is seeking a highly experienced Shareholder Attorney with a minimum of 20 years of law firm experience to join its Corporate team. The ideal candidate will play a significant role in the firm's corporate practice and should have exceptional academic credentials, a strong commitment to ethical legal practice, high motivation, and a tireless work ethic. While not mandatory, preference will be given to attorneys already living and practicing law in Boise. The candidate should have a substantial book of business and is required to be a member of the Idaho Bar or willing to become a member. If not currently a member of the Idaho Bar, candidates must be a member of the Bar of another U.S. state.

Duties:

  • Lead and manage complex corporate legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel to corporate clients and oversee transactional work.
  • Build and maintain a substantial book of business.
  • Mentor and collaborate with junior attorneys in the firm.
  • Represent corporate clients in negotiations and business transactions.
  • Stay updated on changes in corporate laws and regulations.
  • Ensure high-quality legal representation and ethical practice.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in a law firm, specializing in corporate law.
  • Membership in the Idaho Bar or willingness to become a member of the Idaho Bar.
  • Alternatively, membership in the Bar of another U.S. state if not currently a member of the Idaho Bar.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong commitment to ethical legal practice.
  • High motivation and a tireless work ethic.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Membership in the Idaho Bar or another U.S. state Bar.

Skills:

  • Extensive experience in corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Client consultation and communication.
