Job Overview:
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking junior-level associates (1st to 4th year) to join its Environmental Practice Group. This role involves advising on complex environmental regulatory compliance, enforcement matters, and environmental liabilities in corporate transactions and restructuring. Ideal candidates will bring a solid foundation in environmental law and a strong academic background, along with interest or experience in administrative law or environmental litigation.

Location:

  • Dallas, TX

Duties:

  • Advise on a wide range of federal and state environmental regulations

  • Support compliance and enforcement matters related to environmental law

  • Provide counsel on environmental risks in M&A, restructuring, and other corporate transactions

  • Assist with litigation and administrative proceedings involving environmental issues

  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda and client advisory documents

Requirements:

  • 1–4 years of experience in environmental regulatory law

  • Understanding of major environmental statutes, including CERCLA, RCRA, Clean Air Act, and Clean Water Act

  • Familiarity with environmental liabilities in restructuring cases and/or environmental litigation preferred

  • Interest or background in administrative law and/or corporate restructuring

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Strong academic credentials required

  • Law school transcript must be available upon request

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Skills:

  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Ability to handle complex legal matters independently and in teams

  • High level of attention to detail and organizational efficiency
