Job Overview

A highly regarded national law firm is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney with experience in mergers & acquisitions, private equity, and/or joint ventures to join its prominent Healthcare Industry Team. This role focuses on strategic transactions across the healthcare sector, supporting innovative clients such as hospitals, health plans, digital health startups, and private equity investors. The position offers robust mentorship, structured professional development, and opportunities for client interaction.

Location

Duties

  • Advise clients in the healthcare industry on:

    • Mergers & acquisitions

    • Private equity and venture capital investments

    • Joint venture transactions

  • Assist with corporate governance, entity formation, and operational strategy

  • Draft and negotiate contracts and other corporate legal documents

  • Work closely with partners and associates on complex transactional matters

  • Participate in client meetings and collaborate with third-party advisors

  • Maintain awareness of regulatory and legal developments in the healthcare sector

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of legal experience focused on M&A, private equity, and/or joint ventures within the healthcare industry

  • Strong interest in building a long-term practice in healthcare law

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet client needs in a dynamic environment

  • Willingness to take initiative and ownership of assignments

  • Bar admission in the state corresponding to the office location

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the applicable state

Skills

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Advanced legal research and drafting ability

  • Team-oriented mindset with strong organizational and analytical capabilities

  • Experience interacting directly with clients and negotiating on their behalf
