A law firm seeks an experienced Employment Attorney in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in employee benefits law and ERISA, with a focus on various aspects of benefits and compliance.

Duties

  • Design and ensure compliance of qualified retirement plans.
  • Manage executive compensation and health & welfare plans.
  • Oversee fringe benefits and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Handle sponsor and fiduciary risk management.
  • Draft and review benefit plan documentation.
  • Resolve ERISA claims and disputes.
  • Conduct governmental investigations and audits.
  • Ensure Affordable Care Act compliance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in employee benefits law.
  • Proficiency in ERISA and related compliance areas.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in New York.
