A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with 7-10 years of experience in personal injury defense. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting and arguing discovery motions, motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, and the appeals of these motions.

Duties:

  • Draft and argue discovery motions in personal injury defense cases.
  • Prepare motions to dismiss and summary judgment motions.
  • Handle appeals of motions at various court levels.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on case-specific issues.
  • Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with the litigation team.
  • Review and analyze case documents and evidence.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Represent clients in settlement negotiations and mediation sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 7-10 years of experience in personal injury defense.
  • Admitted to practice law in New York.
  • Proven track record of drafting and arguing discovery motions, motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, and appeals.
  • Strong understanding of personal injury laws and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
