Attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience

A law firm located in Henderson is seeking an Attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will be admitted to practice law in the State of Texas and possess analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent research abilities, and written and oral communication skills. The Attorney will be responsible for a variety of tasks including reviewing and preparing summaries of medical records, preparing motions, covering hearings, preparing clients for depositions, and attending depositions. The Attorney will play a vital role in the litigation process, handling various aspects from medical records analysis to motions, depositions, and court appearances. They will be expected to demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication while representing clients in legal proceedings.

Duties:

• Review and prepare summaries of medical records
• Prepare motions and other legal documents
• Cover hearings and court appearances
• Prepare clients for depositions and attend depositions
• Draft initial reports, interim reports, pre-trial reports, trials, and appellate activity
• Draft discovery requests and responses
• Attend court appearances regularly
• Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses
• Draft motions for summary judgment

Requirements:

• 3+ years of litigation experience
• Admitted to practice law in the State of Texas
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent research abilities
• Written and oral communication skills

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Texas State Bar license
