Family Law Attorney

A law firm seeks a Family Law Attorney for their Oxford, AL office. The candidate will represent clients in various family law matters such as divorce, child custody, adoption, alimony, domestic violence, and prenuptial agreements. Will provide legal counsel, advocacy, and support to clients throughout the legal process.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in family law matters.
• Conduct legal research, analysis, and case strategy development.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, agreements, and court filings.
• Represent clients in mediation, negotiation, and litigation proceedings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff members to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
• Stay updated on developments in family law and relevant legal trends.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Alabama State Bar and in good standing.
• 3+ years of experience practicing family law.
• Experience with alternative dispute resolution methods is a plus.
• Proficiency in relevant legal research and case management software.
