Personal Injury Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Chicago, IL, seeks a highly experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in personal injury and wrongful death litigation, including trial experience. The attorney will manage all phases of personal injury cases, from intake through trial, and must possess strong communication, leadership, and legal skills.

Duties:

• Handle all phases of personal injury cases, including intake, pleadings, discovery, and trial.
• Manage own caseload efficiently and effectively.
• Provide legal advice and representation to clients in personal injury and wrongful death matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and trials as necessary.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of direct personal injury/wrongful death experience.
• Direct experience in personal injury and wrongful death litigation.
• Experience in handling personal injury cases from intake through trial.
• Actual trial experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge and experience of Illinois personal injury law and trial practice.
• Leadership experience, academic excellence, and community contributions.
• Licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois.
• Law degree from a reputable law school.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Certifications and Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Illinois State Bar.
