A law firm in Columbus is seeking a Seasoned Attorney with 2-5 years of experience in plaintiff or defense personal injury practice. The candidate will handle a large, active docket of personal injury cases and must be admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio. Duties:

  • Handle a large, active docket of personal injury cases.
  • Investigate case facts and develop damages evidence.
  • Negotiate all aspects of case settlements, including lien resolution, where appropriate.
  • Maintain communication and positive relationships with clients, opposing attorneys, court personnel, and insurance representatives.
  • Work with teams to accomplish law firm goals.
  • Supervise support staff.
  • Utilize MS Office for case management.

Requirements:

  • Admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio.
  • 2-5 years of plaintiff or defense personal injury practice.
  • Insurance defense and/or prior claims handling experience is a major advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office required.
  • Knowledge of Needles case management software preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and overall superior communication and presentation skills.
  • Superior negotiation skills and ability to work under pressure.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Ohio.

 

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Familiarity with Needles case management software is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Supervisory skills for support staff management.
