Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney for its Columbus, OH, office.

Job Overview:

The Litigation Associate Attorney will provide legal representation to clients in complex commercial litigation, product liability, or personal injury cases. The successful candidate will possess strong research and writing skills, demonstrate emotional intelligence and humility, and have exceptional project management abilities.

Duties:

• Independently draft pleadings, motion papers, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex legal issues.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and mediations.
• Collaborate with colleagues and work effectively in a team environment.
• Develop creative solutions to solve complex legal problems.
• Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Engage in internal and external relationship building.

Requirements:

• 2-6 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, product liability, or personal injury litigation.
• Admission to the practice of law in the state of Ohio.
• Trial experience is preferred but not required.
• Emotional intelligence and humility.
• Strong work ethic and desire to grow as a valued litigation team member.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Sstate Bar in Ohio.
