Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Land Use Associate to join its expanding team in Orange County. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience in land use and natural resources matters, working closely with a collaborative team of experienced attorneys.

Duties

• Handle a full spectrum of land use and natural resources matters, including due diligence, entitlements, and environmental review under CEQA.
• Collaborate with team members to guide projects through regulatory, compliance, and approval processes.
• Engage in land use and/or CEQA litigation as needed.
• Provide legal advice on natural resources, wetlands, endangered species, and related areas.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of relevant experience in land use and natural resources.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and manage individual responsibilities.
• Admission to the State Bar of California.

Education

• High level of academic achievement.

Certifications

• Admission to the State Bar of California.

Skills

• Experience with CEQA and related litigation.
• Knowledge of the California Coastal Commission, BCDC, the Subdivision Map Act, and NHPA.
