A law firm based in Cary is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience to assist with various aspects of real estate transactions and provide support to their legal team. The candidate will conduct residential and commercial real estate closings, title examinations, legal research, and assist in drafting legal documents. Strong research and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential for this role.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct residential and commercial real estate closings.
  • Perform title examinations.
  • Conduct legal research and assist in drafting legal documents such as contracts, leases, and agreements.
  • Assist with due diligence investigations, including reviewing title reports, surveys, and zoning regulations.
  • Prepare closing documents and coordinate closings with clients, lenders, and other parties.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and stakeholders to negotiate terms and resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all real estate transactions.

 

Requirements:

  • Licensed North Carolina attorney.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a licensed real estate attorney.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • North Carolina Bar admission.

 

Skills:

  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in legal administrative tasks, including drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
