Mid-Senior Level Patent Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Mid-Senior Level Patent Litigation Associate Attorney for their Jericho office. Work closely with clients to navigate patent laws and judicial decisions. Provide solutions for leveraging intellectual property while protecting assets.

Duties:

• Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence for state and federal court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
• Respond to complex discovery requests.
• Negotiate and communicate with opposing counsel.
• Defend and conduct depositions.
• Prepare for trial, including exhibit lists, evidentiary objections, and witness preparation.
• Draft Federal Circuit appeal briefs.
• Supervise and train junior associates.

Requirements:

• 6-8 years of patent litigation experience.
• Significant experience with drafting pleadings and responding to them.
• Experience with infringement and invalidity claim charts.
• Familiarity with Markman and claim construction proceedings.
• Proficiency in patent-specific fact and expert discovery.
• Experience with inter partes reviews and overall litigation strategy.

Education and Certifications:

• USPTO admission.
• Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
• Substantial experience litigating matters in related disciplines.
