A law firm in Los Angeles is currently seeking a Mid-level Life Science Corporate (Lifecycle) Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience in a broad range of corporate and transactional matters. The ideal candidate will work with venture-backed private and public life sciences companies, handling transactions such as equity financing, IPOs, M&A, and corporate governance. The role requires a strong interest in life sciences work and the ability to work both independently and in teams. Outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

 

Duties:

  • Work with venture-backed private and public life sciences companies.
  • Handle a range of transactions, including equity financing, IPOs, M&A, and corporate governance.
  • Manage substantial components of transactions independently.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure successful execution of deals.
  • Provide legal counsel on corporate and transactional matters.
  • Conduct due diligence and legal research as needed.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts and agreements.
  • Interface with clients and other parties involved in transactions.
  • Maintain awareness of developments in life sciences and corporate law.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a broad range of corporate and transactional matters.
  • Experience with seed and venture capital transactions, corporate governance, M&A, private and public offerings of securities, and SEC reporting.
  • Strong interest in life sciences work.
  • Outstanding academic credentials.
  • Comparable law firm experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
