A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking a Mid-level Leveraged Finance Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background counseling lenders, investors, borrowers, and issuers in various leveraged finance transactions.

Duties:

  • Counsel lenders, investors, borrowers, and issuers in leveraged finance transactions.
  • Handle asset-based lending, private placements, unitranche, first lien/second lien, and mezzanine financings.
  • Manage both leveraged and investment-grade lending transactions.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on complex financial matters.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and due diligence.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including loan agreements, security documents, and financing statements.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to ensure the successful completion of transactions.
  • Maintain client relationships and provide excellent client service.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility to waive into the New York Bar.
  • 3-5 years of experience in leveraged finance transactions.
  • Previous experience in a large law firm environment.
  • Strong client management skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior academic credentials.
