A law firm located in Sheffield, UK, is actively seeking an Associate/Senior Associate to work directly with a diverse range of corporate clients, including large international corporations and SMEs, across various industry sectors. The role primarily entails transactional work, involving the provision of legal counsel on visa applications, and comprehensive guidance on all aspects of UK immigration, encompassing right-to-work issues and compliance. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in business development initiatives and contribute to broader firm projects such as government liaison and pro bono work. Acting as the key point of contact on client accounts, this role will require providing legal and strategic advice, with the support of senior associates or managers as needed. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for managing and nurturing client relationships, conducting legal research, maintaining an organized caseload, and adhering to deadlines. Participation in client reviews, report preparation, meetings, presentations, and training will also be expected. The Associate/Senior Associate will take charge of billing and WIP reports, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of UK Inbound immigration. Ideally, the candidate should be a UK qualified Solicitor with experience in advising on corporate immigration matters, with a particular emphasis on sponsored work visas.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel to a diverse range of corporate clients across various sectors.
  • Primarily engage in transactional work, including visa application advising and submission.
  • Offer comprehensive guidance on all aspects of UK immigration, including right-to-work and compliance.
  • Participate in business development activities and contribute to firm-wide initiatives.
  • Serve as the key point of contact on client accounts, offering legal and strategic advice.
  • Manage and cultivate client relationships, with support from senior associates or managers when needed.
  • Conduct legal research as required.
  • Maintain an organized caseload and adhere to deadlines.
  • Participate in client reviews, prepare reports and meetings, and contribute to presentations and training.
  • Take responsibility for billing and WIP reports.
  • Leverage expertise in UK Inbound immigration.
  • Ideally, be a UK qualified Solicitor with experience in corporate immigration, particularly sponsored work visas.
