Labor & Employment Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a California licensed Labor & Employment Associate with 3-6 years of experience for its San Diego, CA office. The ideal candidate will have experience in single-plaintiff employment litigation and class action/PAGA cases, along with strong litigation skills.

Duties

• Handle single-plaintiff employment litigation, including workplace discrimination and wrongful termination lawsuits.
• Engage in class action and PAGA litigation.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, and motions; argue motions in court.
• Take and defend depositions; conduct administrative hearings.
• Draft workplace policies and conduct employee trainings.
• Provide day-to-day advice and counsel to employers.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of relevant experience in labor and employment law.
• California bar admission required.
• Detail-oriented with excellent work ethic.
• Strong writing, communication, and research skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in California.

• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
