A law firm in Syracuse is seeking a Health Care Transactional and Corporate Associate Attorney with 3+ years of relevant experience, including corporate and M&A transactional work, with exposure to clients in the healthcare industry. The successful candidate will represent sophisticated corporate clients operating in the healthcare sector in various general corporate and transactional matters. They will contribute to and strengthen a thriving healthcare practice within the firm. Strong relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills are essential, and a portable and growing book of business is advantageous.

 

Duties:

  • Represent corporate clients in the health care industry in general corporate and transactional matters.
  • Provide legal advice and support on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and other corporate transactions.
  • Draft and negotiate transactional documents, including contracts, agreements, and corporate governance documents.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews and analyze legal issues related to health care transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop and execute strategic plans.
  • Support and enhance the firm's health care practice across its platform.
  • Manage client relationships and communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders.

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience, including corporate and M&A transactional work.
  • Exposure to clients in the health care industry preferred.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar in the jurisdiction of practice.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law principles and transactional practices.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Portable and growing book of business is favorably regarded.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar in the jurisdiction of practice.
