A law firm located in Manchester, NH, is seeking an experienced Trusts and Estates Attorney with a strong academic background and excellent written and oral communication skills. The ideal candidate should possess 7-10 years of experience in estate planning, tax planning, and trust and estate administration. While experience in asset protection planning and charitable giving is a plus, it is highly preferred that the candidate has prior experience working directly with high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as their advisors, to develop tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies, including the transfer of closely-held business interests.

Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive legal guidance and services to clients in matters related to estate planning, tax planning, and trust and estate administration.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee effective strategies for wealth transfer and asset protection based on each client's unique goals and needs.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning instruments.
  • Advise clients on charitable giving opportunities to optimize tax benefits and philanthropic objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with high-net-worth clients and their advisors to create personalized and tax-efficient wealth transfer plans.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax laws, regulations, and legal developments relevant to estate planning.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New Hampshire Bar.
  • 7-10 years of experience in estate planning, tax planning, and trust and estate administration.
  • Knowledge of asset protection planning and charitable giving strategies.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with high-net-worth clients and their advisors.
