A law firm in Nashville is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably with an employment law background. The candidate will defend and litigate lawsuits encompassing a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination. Responsibilities also include representing employers in various forums, providing legal advice and counsel on labor and employment laws, and ensuring a comprehensive understanding of current court and employment-related agency procedures.

 

Duties:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving diverse employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
  • Represent employers in court, administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitrations in employment matters, including class/collective actions and cases related to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contracts, employment torts, and non-compete agreements.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to employers on labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay informed about current court and employment-related agency (state and federal) procedures.
  • Offer excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively convey legal advice and arguments.
  • Pay meticulous attention to detail and demonstrate a commitment to excellence.
  • Multitask in a fast-paced environment, managing various responsibilities efficiently.
  • Utilize strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for an employment law background.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • Active Tennessee Bar admission or the ability to obtain admission quickly.
