Job Overview:
A law firm based in Mount Laurel, NJ is seeking a litigation associate to join its insurance liability practice. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in civil litigation, with the ability to analyze complex legal issues, interact directly with clients, and manage a diverse caseload. Duties:

• Review and assess intricate legal and factual scenarios to develop tailored defense strategies

• Draft a variety of litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda

• Manage discovery processes, including interrogatories, requests for production, and depositions of fact and expert witnesses

• Deliver timely and strategic legal advice and case assessments to clients and insurers

• Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings

• Maintain clear and consistent communication with judges, opposing counsel, and internal team members

• Drive cases toward effective resolution while maintaining client goals and litigation best practices

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in the State of Pennsylvania

• At least 1 year of civil litigation experience, preferably within insurance defense or general liability matters

• Demonstrated proficiency in managing all phases of litigation

• Experience drafting and arguing motions, conducting depositions, and handling discovery

• Strong legal writing and oral advocacy abilities

• Proven capacity to manage time efficiently and handle multiple assignments independently

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar (Additional licensure in states such as New Jersey or Delaware considered advantageous)
