A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level IP Litigation (Life Sciences) Associate Attorney for their Palo Alto office. This role requires a dedicated individual with a strong background in intellectual property matters, particularly in patent and/or trade secret litigation within the life sciences industry.

 

Job Overview:

The Mid-Level IP Litigation (Life Sciences) Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling a diverse range of intellectual property litigation matters, with a focus on cases within the life sciences sector. This role involves providing legal counsel and representation to clients, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, and participating in all aspects of the litigation process.

 

Duties:

  • Representing clients in intellectual property litigation matters, including patent and/or trade secret disputes within the life sciences industry.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Participating in all stages of the litigation process, including discovery, depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Collaborating with other attorneys, experts, and clients to develop and execute case strategies.
  • Providing legal counsel and advice to clients on ongoing intellectual property matters and potential litigation risks.
  • Managing client relationships and communication throughout the litigation process.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to a State Bar is required.
  • Strong academic credentials in law and undergraduate coursework.
  • Undergraduate degree in Biology, Chemistry, Materials Science, Genetics, or Biochemistry is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience with intellectual property matters, including patent and/or trade secret litigation.
  • Excellent leadership skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Outstanding research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Sound legal and business knowledge in working on a broad spectrum of cases and counseling clients with respect to ongoing matters.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to a State Bar.
