Job Details:

  • Develop case strategies and identify relevant rules of procedure to support legal arguments.
  • Represent clients confidently and competently in highly contested family law cases within the courtroom.
  • Act as a skilled "dealmaker" to facilitate creative solutions for property and custody disputes outside formal litigation.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of property division, custody modifications, parenting plans, the Texas Family Code (TFC), and the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure (TRCP).
  • Assist clients in evaluating the value of pursuing legal action over minor disputes, demonstrating pragmatism and cost-effectiveness.
  • Thrive in a work environment that balances serious work with a lighthearted approach, embodying professionalism, intelligence, integrity, and teamwork.
  • Take ownership of clients' contested family law cases, including managing discovery, preparing pleadings, handling motions, collaborating, participating in mediation, and attending pretrial hearings, motion hearings, and trials.
  • Hold an active Texas law license (ideal for someone relocating back to Texas).
  • Exhibit an exemplary professional demeanor and outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate stellar communication habits to effectively engage with clients and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience handling contested family law cases.
  • Active Texas law license (ideal for someone relocating back to Texas).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Texas law license.
