A law firm is seeking a Bankruptcy Associate Attorney for their Parsippany office.

Job Overview:

The Bankruptcy Associate Attorney will handle substantive court appearances and represent creditors’ committees, indenture trustees, landlords, and trade creditors in bankruptcy matters. Strong analytical abilities, excellent client-relations skills, and the ability to work well on a team are required. Ideal candidates will have previous bankruptcy experience in a law firm and possess top academic credentials.

Duties:

• Represent creditors’ committees, indenture trustees, landlords, and trade creditors in bankruptcy matters
• Handle substantive court appearances
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Draft legal documents and pleadings
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
• Assist with case management and strategy

Requirements:

• 3-8 years of experience in bankruptcy law
• Previous bankruptcy experience in a law firm
• Strong analytical abilities
• Excellent client-relations skills
• Ability to work well on a team

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar

Skills:
