Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm based in New York City, NY, is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Financial Services Litigation Group, representing clients involved in consumer financial services and products. This is an exciting opportunity to handle cases from inception to resolution, work independently based on experience, and develop significant subject matter familiarity and litigation skills.

Duties:

• Represent clients involved in litigation matters involving consumer financial services and products.
• Handle cases from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Collaborate closely with the Financial Services Litigation Group.
• Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients throughout the litigation process.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of commercial litigation experience.
• Litigation experience drafting pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Admission to the New York Bar is required, with the Connecticut Bar considered a plus.
• Experience in consumer finance-related litigation is advantageous.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York Bar.
• Admission to the Connecticut Bar (optional but advantageous).
