Duties:

• Advise clients on a wide range of environmental regulatory frameworks and obligations

• Represent clients in environmental-related litigation, including administrative proceedings

• Draft, review, and negotiate documents related to the environmental components of commercial transactions

• Conduct legal research and provide written analysis on environmental laws and regulations

• Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to support complex client matters

• Engage in client development and contribute to the strategic growth of the environmental practice

Requirements:

• 2-6 years of focused experience in environmental regulatory, transactional, and/or litigation work

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational and communication abilities

• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality legal work

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Mississippi Bar or eligibility for immediate admission

Skills:

• Excellent research and legal writing capabilities

• Familiarity with state and federal environmental statutes (e.g., Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, CERCLA)

• Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret and apply complex legal frameworks

• Confidence in presenting arguments and interacting with regulatory agencies
