The successful candidate will have experience in high net-worth tax and estate planning, wealth preservation, charitable giving, estate and trust administration, and business succession planning. The Trusts and Estates Associate Attorney will play a vital role in providing comprehensive legal solutions to high-net-worth individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and corporate trust departments. The candidate will collaborate with other practice areas to ensure clients receive tailored and effective legal counsel.

 

Duties:

  • Handle matters related to high net-worth tax and estate planning
  • Assist with wealth preservation strategies and charitable giving structures
  • Manage estate and trust administration processes
  • Provide guidance on business succession planning
  • Collaborate with other practice areas to deliver comprehensive solutions
  • Work on local, multistate, and multinational transactions
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents
  • Communicate with clients and other stakeholders effectively

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the New York State Bar
  • 4-6 years of experience in trusts and estates law
  • Strong understanding of high net-worth tax and estate planning concepts
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
