Job Overview
A respected, multi-state law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to support its Missouri practice, focusing on real estate, creditors’ rights, and litigation matters. Location

Duties

  • Manage a high-volume caseload focused on creditors’ rights and real estate litigation

  • Represent clients in court appearances, including federal district and bankruptcy courts

  • Handle discovery, depositions, motion practice, and conflict resolution

  • Provide counsel on legal issues related to TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and bankruptcy law

  • Participate in appellate matters when needed

  • Contribute to business development by fostering relationships within the legal and financial industries

  • Ensure timely, accurate case management and reporting

  • Maintain strong professional judgment in complex litigation settings

Requirements

  • Active member in good standing with the Missouri State Bar

  • Admission (or eligibility for admission) to Missouri federal district and bankruptcy courts

  • 5+ years of litigation experience preferred (newly licensed attorneys will be considered)

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple cases

  • Prior experience in creditors' rights or real estate law is highly preferred

  • Familiarity with the Missouri court system is required

  • Willingness to travel as needed for hearings and client matters

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Missouri (required)

  • Additional state bar licenses are a plus
