Job Overview

A well-established law firm based in Tampa, Florida is seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join its Commercial Litigation and Business Law department. This position is ideal for an attorney with at least two years of experience in complex litigation or business-related legal matters. The role offers direct collaboration with partners, meaningful courtroom exposure, and opportunities for long-term advancement. A hybrid work arrangement is available.

Duties

  • Draft and review substantive pleadings, motions, and discovery documents

  • Conduct depositions and interviews with witnesses and clients

  • Participate in trials, hearings, and mediations

  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on litigation strategy

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case development and trial preparation

  • Represent business clients in various commercial disputes

  • Maintain timely communication with clients and manage case files effectively

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial litigation or business law

  • Strong understanding of Florida civil litigation procedures

  • Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills

  • Ability to handle multiple cases with attention to deadlines and detail

  • Collaborative team mindset with initiative to take on increasing responsibilities

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar (required)
