Duties:

  • Represent clients in employment law matters including wage and hour disputes, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other related cases.
  • Manage case files from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
  • Conduct depositions and prepare for hearings and trials.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and mediation on behalf of clients.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategies and legal analysis.
  • Provide timely legal advice and client communication.
  • Participate in firm-wide initiatives and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in employment litigation.
  • Active California State Bar License.
  • Proficiency in California employment law, including wage and hour laws, FEHA discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and Labor Code violations.
  • Hands-on experience with discovery processes, motion practice, and depositions.
  • Strong negotiation skills, particularly in mediation and with defense counsel.
  • Demonstrated work ethic, professionalism, and positive attitude in the workplace.
  • Strong academic background.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active and valid California State Bar License.

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
