A law firm based in Raleigh is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with a focus on gaming regulatory experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in representing clients in the gaming industry, with a preference for experience in the tribal gaming space. The candidate should possess strong advocacy skills, exceptional academic credentials, and the ability to manage cases independently.

 

Duties:

  • Draft and argue discovery motions related to gaming regulatory matters.
  • Take and defend depositions in gaming industry litigation cases.
  • Manage cases independently, including case strategy development and execution.
  • Represent clients in the tribal gaming space, if applicable.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to gaming regulations and laws.
  • Assist senior attorneys in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice in a state.
  • 3+ years of experience representing clients in the gaming industry.
  • Experience in a mid-size to large law firm setting.
  • Strong background in drafting legal documents and motions.
  • Familiarity with gaming regulatory frameworks and laws.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admitted to practice law in a state.
