Job Overview

A Glendale-based law firm, recognized for its commitment to advocating for employee rights, is seeking a dynamic Associate to contribute to its plaintiff-side labor and employment practice. This full-time, in-person opportunity is ideal for a driven legal professional eager to gain hands-on experience in litigation involving workplace disputes, class actions, and PAGA claims. The position offers an engaging, team-oriented environment with exposure to complex cases and opportunities for growth.

Duties

  • Assist with the litigation of employment-related claims from intake through resolution

  • Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery

  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on relevant labor law topics

  • Participate in depositions, court appearances, and mediations under supervision

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff on case strategy and client management

  • Analyze class action and representative action (PAGA) case files and contribute to case-building efforts

Requirements

  • Licensed and active member of the California State Bar

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in employment law (preferred)

  • Exposure to class actions or PAGA litigation (preferred)

  • Strong written communication and legal drafting skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative legal team

  • Enthusiastic about litigation and committed to representing employee interests

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications

  • California Bar Admission (active and in good standing)

Skills

  • Legal research and analytical reasoning

  • Persuasive legal writing and oral advocacy

  • Case management and organizational skills

  • Strategic thinking in high-stakes litigation

  • Familiarity with the California Labor Code and procedural rules
