Job Overview:
A reputable boutique law firm based in Midtown Manhattan is actively seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2–5 years of experience in commercial, real estate, and landlord/tenant litigation. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with senior attorneys while also managing an independent caseload. The position includes substantial courtroom exposure, litigation strategy development, and hands-on work with trial and arbitration matters. Candidates should be licensed in New York and possess strong advocacy, communication, and case management skills.

Location:

  • New York, NY

Duties:

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents

  • Handle discovery, including depositions

  • Make court appearances in Civil and Supreme Court

  • Assist with trial preparation and arbitration

  • Manage assigned case files independently

  • Support senior attorneys on complex litigation matters

  • Communicate with clients regarding case status and legal strategy

  • Collaborate with legal team on litigation planning and execution

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of litigation experience

  • Proven ability to manage client communications and case progression

  • Experience in commercial, real estate, and landlord/tenant litigation

  • Familiarity with litigation in both Civil and Supreme Court

  • Federal court experience and admission to Eastern and Southern Districts preferred

  • Some transactional law background is a plus

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of New York

  • Admission to Federal Court (Southern and Eastern Districts) preferred

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Legal drafting and research proficiency
