Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate with 2-5 years of litigation experience to join their aviation practice group in New York. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing cases from inception through trial, contributing to a dynamic legal team.

Duties

• Draft pleadings, discovery responses, and briefs.
• Prepare correspondence for colleagues and clients.
• Draft opinion letters and status reports for clients.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis.
• Draft interrogatories and document demands.
• Review document collections for litigation preparation.
• Attend depositions, hearings, oral arguments, and mediations.
• Submit filings to the court.

Requirements

• J.D. degree.
• Admitted to practice in New York.
• Federal court admittance is a plus.
• Litigation experience required.
• Excellent analytical and legal writing skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.)
