Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking an Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney with the following responsibilities and qualifications:

Job Overview:

The Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney will be responsible for legal analysis of claims and causes of action, extensive research, drafting various legal documents, representing clients in court, and collaborating with expert witnesses. The position requires 2-5 years of experience in insurance coverage, a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school, and admission to practice in Pennsylvania.

Duties:

• Conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action
• Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs
• Maintain an annual billable amount of 1950 hours
• Regularly represent clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions
• Draft and respond to discovery requests
• Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses
• Prepare for trials and attend as necessary
• It may require some travel

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in insurance coverage preferred
• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school
• Admitted to practice in the state of Pennsylvania; admission in other states is a plus
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Solid research abilities and written and oral communication skills
• Strong work ethic, ability to self-manage, and work in a team environment
• Prompt responsiveness to e-mail and phone inquiries
• Excellent client skills and telephone manner
