Job Overview:

The Litigation Of Counsel will play a crucial role in the firm's litigation department, primarily focusing on communicating with clients, supervising associates, and assisting with case strategy. This position requires a strong background in litigation, preferably with experience in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation, along with a science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology).

Duties:

  • Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties verbally and in writing.
  • Supervise associates and collaborate with experts in the field.
  • Assist with fact development, depositions, and case strategy.
  • Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
  • Produce high-quality work products within set deadlines.
  • Foster positive work relationships and comply with firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including computer work and virtual meetings.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree and Bar admission.
  • 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 law firm.
  • Experience in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation.
  • Science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology).
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Experience with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry and clients is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Immediate transferable skills and strong academic background from nationally recognized schools.

Education & Certifications:

  • J.D. degree
