Job Overview

A law firm seeks a full-time Associate Immigration Attorney to join its office in Center City, Philadelphia, PA. The successful candidate will represent clients in various immigration matters, including proceedings before USCIS and EOIR, and collaborate with a team of legal professionals.

Duties

  • Represent clients before USCIS and EOIR, including preparing applications and attending interviews.
  • Litigate deportation proceedings, including writing briefs, motions, and appeals.
  • Engage in intersectional practice with guardianship and custody cases.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts and pleadings.
  • Provide legal advice to clients regarding their rights and obligations.
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure documentation is current.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies.
  • Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations affecting clients.

Requirements

  • Some litigation experience preferred; applicants without prior experience will be considered.
  • Spanish fluency is preferred but not required.
  • PA and/or NJ bar membership preferred.
  • Position may require travel within the tri-state area.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the bar in Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
