Associate Attorney needed for Pasadena office

Job Overview: A law firm in Pasadena, CA, seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will handle a caseload involving substantial litigation defense, spanning various practice areas such as general liability, premises liability, construction defect, and potentially professional executive and D&O matters.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of litigation defense matters, including but not limited to general liability, premises liability, construction defect, and professional executive and D&O cases.
• Conduct legal research draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members.
• Provide legal analysis and strategic advice to clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, preferably in defense litigation.
• Licensed to practice law in California courts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Team player with the ability to work independently when necessary.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications (preferred):

• Certification by the State Bar of California in a relevant legal specialty.

Skills:

• Litigation experience, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Legal research proficiency.
• Case management and trial preparation skills.
• Client communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
