A law firm in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a highly qualified Real Estate Investment and Development Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience in various aspects of real estate law. The ideal candidate will possess strong academic credentials, and extensive knowledge of corporate leasing, portfolio management, construction, property acquisition and disposition, real estate financing and investment, joint ventures, and development/redevelopment. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. Additionally, the candidate must be licensed in the state of North Carolina and exhibit a desire to work collaboratively within a national practice.

Duties:

  • Handle corporate leasing matters, including negotiation and drafting of lease agreements.
  • Manage real estate portfolios and provide legal guidance on property-related issues.
  • Oversee construction-related legal aspects, ensuring compliance with regulations and contracts.
  • Facilitate property acquisition and disposition transactions, including due diligence and contract drafting.
  • Provide legal counsel on real estate financing and investment strategies.
  • Structure and negotiate real estate joint ventures, addressing legal complexities and ensuring compliance.
  • Contribute expertise to development and redevelopment projects, addressing legal challenges and mitigating risks.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate leasing, portfolio management, construction, property acquisition and disposition, real estate financing and investment, joint ventures, and/or development and redevelopment.
  • Strong academic credentials in law with a focus on real estate law.
  • Solid experience in sophisticated real estate law matters.
  • Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work collaboratively within a national practice.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of North Carolina.

Skills:

  • Proficient in real estate law and related regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
